How the NFIP Quote Process Works
Start by entering the address. If you have already started a quote for your address, you can continue a saved quote using your email and address or the quote number and address.
Select the building type and answer a few property questions such as: year built, square footage, and whether there is a basement.
You will answer items like construction type, number of floors, whether it is over water, and whether it is a full-time residence.
Enter the RCV and indicate whether you have an EC. If you do have an EC, you will be prompted to enter those details in the online form.
Your quote is generated using NFIP maximums (for residential): $250,000 building and $100,000 contents, with deductible options you can adjust to see annual premium change.
If you choose Buy Now, you will enter personal details (effective date, lender info if applicable), verify your email, answer underwriting questions, verify phone, then submit payment by credit card or eCheck.
After payment, you will see a confirmation message that your quote/application has been received and underwriting will review the info.
